WELCOME TO Kids Connect

Connecting to Christ and each other

SPRINGHILL KIDS

We believe children are the church today and parents, in partnership with the church, disciple children to know and love the Lord. Our vision is to equip children to be faithful in every field, as they participate in Gathering, Going, Gospel, and Growing in developmental appropriate levels.

Gathering

When kids are at church, our goal is that they feel safe, have fun, learn about Jesus and His truth, and experience being part of a local church body.

Going

We teach children to have a missional mindset – a heart of compassion and desire to share the gospel wherever they go. As a church, we provide evangelism opportunities and encourage parents to bring their children with them to disciple them in the field of going.

Gospel

The gospel, the story of Jesus, is shared in every Bible lesson, from the creation story to the promises in Revelation. Our hope is that their understanding of the gospel grows and through the power of the Holy Spirit their hearts are transformed as they choose to repent and believe.

Growing

Our programs and activities are designed around discipleship; to model and teach kids spiritual disciplines so that they learn the joy of abiding in Christ. Children learn how to read their Bible, memorize Scripture, pray, worship, give, share the gospel and their testimony.

Developing New Leaders

Our hope is for kids to become disciples of Christ, which means they will make disciples as they follow Jesus. We encourage kids to serve alongside their parents and discover unique ways they can use their gifts, time, and talents to serve God through the local church.

Sunday Mornings in Kids Connect

9:45 AM Bible Studies

8:30 & 11:00 AM Worship Services

8:30 AM & 11:00 AM WORSHIP SERVICE

Nursery

The nursery is designed for newborns to 2 year olds. In the classroom kids play, sing, and sometimes have a craft and snack.

Pre-K

The Pre-K room is designed for 3 to 5 year olds. In the classroom kids play, hear a Bible story, and create a craft or play an activity that reinforces the Bible story.

Kindergarten – 3rd Grade

Students will begin the service with their families to be discipled by their parents and experience worship, offering, intercessory prayer, and baptisms. We believe our kids are part of the church so we want them familiar and comfortable in the sanctuary and experience elements of a church gathering.

The students will then be dismissed before preaching to receive age appropriate teaching in the Kids Ministry. Teaching leaders will meet students in the back of the sanctuary and walk them to their classrooms.

In their classrooms they will hear a Bible story, have an activity to reinforce the lesson, and learn a monthly memory verse. Parents will then pick up their kids in the student classrooms following the service.

4th – 6th Grade Preteens

Students remain in the sanctuary for the whole church service with their families and be discipled by their parents. We believe our kids are part of the church so we want them familiar and comfortable in the sanctuary and experience church gathering. At times, they may be given roles to serve and use their gifts to edify the church.
